Storm Day Sales- Colorado Roster

Hello Everyone!

As of August 29th, myself and the Storm Day Sales Team are now the reps for K2 Alpine and Backcountry Access. Marc Lee and Associates is moving on after a great tenure with K2. We wish Marc the best as he was instrumental in the growth of K2 in Colorado over the past 24 years. Our team that is taking the reins now though will exceed the expectations of service, enthusiasm and support for K2 and BCA.

Colorado is the most strategically important territory and I understand that this year is going to be a huge challenge. I have assembled, in my opinion, the best team I have ever worked with. We will provide the best service to our partners and will strive to grow the brand’s footprint here in Colorado. We will increase demand and reinforce K2’s position in the market and the image with the consumer. Our collective experience, expertise, enthusiasm and humble attitudes will ensure the success of our brands.

The Team:

Clem Smith: I have been the principal rep for Blizzard, Tecnica and POC in California/Nevada for the past six years. We did an excellent job there for
our retailers and grew the brands tremendously during challenging economic times and terrible drought conditions. I had a blast though skiing, touring and mountain biking in the Sierras and enjoying the surf along the California coast. I can’t express enough how thrilled I am now to return back to my house in Colorado with my wife Haynes and now represent the ski industry’s most iconic brand- K2! This year will mark a new chapter for America’s ski brand and I can’t contain my excitement that we now get to be a part of this!

Nick Salter: Nick is joining me as Sales Representative, recently leaving Volkl and Marker where he has been a Regional Promotions Manager for the past 10 years, 8 of them here in Colorado. Nick worked for me when I was Promo Director, and his attention to detail, work ethic and communication skills are incredible. His understanding of the pro business in Colorado and the grass roots community in the mountains will help us reinforce K2’s position as the go-to products for our market. Nick is an exceptionally down to earth person, but an incredible skier as well. Originally from Boston, he ski raced for Carabassett Valley Academy and then at Colby Sawyer College in NH (the whole time on Bode Miller’s hand me down K2’s!). I’m sure most of you know Nick from shop visits, demos and trade fairs over the years and I know he will do a great job in helping you with your business and reinforcing our position in the pro community.

Pete Pattison: PETE!!! What can I say about Pete that hasn’t been said. I am thrilled to have Pete joining us as a Sales Representative! Pete, as all of you know, has been working for K2 here in Colorado with Marc for 24 years. His knowledge of the territory and your businesses will be invaluable to give us historical details about the territory and relationships that cannot be learned from spreadsheets and reports. Pete’s enthusiasm for skiing and K2 is unreal, and is one of the industries most seasoned veterans. He moved to Vail in 1980 shortly after college where he ski raced for Denver University. We are excited to learn from Pete’s experience here as well as some of his go-to powder stashes in the backcountry here in the Valley.

A.Todd Rash: Rounding out our team will be Todd. Todd worked for me at Volkl and Tecnica doing Western Race Service. He worked for Volkl and Marker here in Colorado from 2006-2013 and his product knowledge and technical skills with equipment are exceptional. Todd ski raced at University of Maine and became a ski instructor and coach here in Vail prior to his joining Volkl and Tecnica in 2004. Todd is a great guy and will be providing Technical Services to our territory and making sure our skis and boots are completely dialed for on snow demos and our ambassadors.

I look forward to reconnecting with many of you and do the best job possible for K2, BCA. Thanks in advance for the support!

-Clem
